On 11 December 2015 the Belgian members of Young CEDA organised a one day programme exclusively for students. During the day students get on board CSD d’Artagan which was dredging the access to the new lock at the end of Deurgangckdok. A rare opportunity! They also visited the dredging simulator at the DEME headquarters. The day was made complete by interesting lectures a number of lectures on: (a) the second Waaslandsluis (Jan De Nul);
(b) sedimentation analysis and monitoring (IMDC and DotOcean) and (c) monitoring of flexible placement strategie of dredged material in the Westerschelde (Maritime Access Division of the Flemish Ministry of Mobility and Public Work).

During the day there were plenty opportunities to chat one to one with all the students and Young Professionals with some years of experience already in the industry.
