CEDA Dutch Section evening on dredging in 2030 attracts more than 100 participants

Held at Rabobank's headquarters in Utrecht on the 25th floor with a magnificent view of the the city three prominent speakers told about their visions of dredging in 15 years from now. The evening featured four prominent speakers who shared their visions on how there respective fields will look like in 2030.
The evening kicked of with Ton Wouterse, Senior Banker Maritime Industries of Rabobank welcoming the guests. He stressed the importance of the dredging sector in the Dutch and Belgian economy and said that the Bank truly valued its Corporate Membership in CEDA. Since 2007, when Rabobank joined CEDA, he has attended many of the meetings of the Dutch Section and found them very useful and enjoyable.
Mr Ralf Dekker, member of the Board of Directors of Rabobank, followed, who told about the enormous changes ICT has already brought to the banking sector and how it will further affect the way banks do business in the future.
The next speaker was Mr Bram Roelse, CEO of Royal IHC, who made the connection between hubots, the first three laws of Asimov and dredging.
Finally Prof Cees van Rhee of the Delft University of Technology gave an overview of the effect of internet technology in dredging technology.
