World Dredging Congresses - WODCONs
This is one of the most important opportunities for the international dredging community to explore and share developments in the industry
Every three years leading experts from all facets of dredging and associated fields meet for the World Dredging Congress and Exhibition known as WODCON.
In a 3-4 day technical programme, WODCONs showcase over 120 technical papers in 3-5 parallel sessions. All WODCON papers are peer-reviewed and cover a broad range of timely and relevant topics by authors from many countries. All presented papers are published in the congress proceedings.
WODCONs also feature a technical exhibition, with around 50 exhibitions booths, and technical visits. In addition, social events allow participants to meet fellow professionals, from all over the world, in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere.
Who are the participants?
WODCONs bring together expert representatives of manufacturers, universities, research institutes, consultants, public authorities and contractors. All of which can work in areas including dredging, navigation, coastal and inland flood protection, deep-sea mining, offshore wind energy, and oil and gas production. Providers of a broad range of services such as brokers, insurers, financiers, and lawyers also attend WODCONs.
WODCONs are organised in rotation by one of the three associations that make up WODA (CEDA, EADA and WEDA) – always in their own region (EMEA, Asia & Australia and the Americas, respectively). Once every nine years CEDA organises the congress and takes full responsibility for all aspects of the event.
When organized by either of our two sister associations we take responsibility for selecting and peer-review of papers from the CEDA.
