CEDA Board welcomes new Assistant General Manager
The CEDA Board is pleased to welcome Mieke van Loenen who joins the CEDA Secretariat as our new Assistant General Manager. Over the coming months, she will be working closely with General Manager, Anna Csiti, while she gets to know more about our work, members, committees and working groups.
From 1st January 2022, Mieke will become CEDA General Manager. We are pleased to say that Anna will continue to work with CEDA, in a part-time management advisory capacity, until June 2022.
Mieke comes to us with many years of experience in association management at the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). Anna says, “With her background, she’s used to working with different stakeholders, on vastly different international projects and events, and we are very excited to see how she will develop her new role”.
Mieke has only been with us for a few days but some of you may have met her already. She is passionate about bringing together various stakeholders, from different cultures, who share common interests and goals. When asked what she plans to bring to CEDA, she says, “I look forward to getting to know the association and its members in depth, so I can develop plans to ensure that CEDA continues to be successful for many years to come. It’s very important for associations to make sure that future generations keep seeing the value and want to be actively involved”.
CEDA President, Polite Laboyrie, adds, “We were very happy to meet Mieke and to see her enthusiasm for picking up the job. Also, with her experience, we are convinced she will bring some inspiring new ideas to the table“.
