Young WODA @ WODCON
On Wednesday 18 May, Jan De Nul sponsored a reception for young professionals attending WODCON. Sina Saremi, from DHI, gave a presentation explaining the activities of Young CEDA and Louwrens Elzinga, from Witteveen+Bos, introduced a badge-exchange networking activity, which created the ideal setting for breaking the ice and giving the young professionals the chance to mingle and get to know each other in a more relaxed and informal way. Some people made arrangements to meet up for a city tour and dinner the evening after.
These activities prove to be a great way to maintain and enlarge young professional networks. It also showed us again that such platforms, attached to big events like WODCON and Dredging Days, are essential, not only to encourage young professionals to get more involved, but also for the industry to facilitate the integration of the younger generation.
