Background Reading
The reports below are useful background reading to the presentation "To what degree is aquatic life exposed to underwater sound" by Dr Christ de Jong. The reports describe the various steps in an assessment of the potential effects of the dredging activities for the Port of Rotterdam extension project "Maasvlakte 2" on marine life. These have been added to the website on 18 March 2015 with the kind permission of the Netherlands Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment and Port of Rotterdam.
