Seminar: Reducing Green House Gas Emissions in the dredging industry in the drive to net zero

The UK is committed to reach net zero green house gas emissions (GHG) by 2050 across their economy including in the domestic maritime sector, which is the largest contributor to the UK’s domestic GHG emissions.  This seminar considers the repercussions of the drive to net zero on the dredging industry and explores what is being done to help achieve decarbonisation.

This half-day event includes presentations on how the EU master plan to reduce GHG emissions impacts the dredging industry, the approach of a leading producer of dredging vessels, equipment, and services on future-proofing dredging vessels and a presentation on the inland waterways perspective on the drive to net zero.

Speakers are attending from HR Wallingford, Royal IHC, the Canal and River Trust and Strathclyde University.

The presentation for the Outstanding Contribution Award will take place after the seminar, followed at 17:30, by the annual drinks reception and networking event.
