The Belgian CEDA Section has the honor to invite you to join this unique event aboard the Flandria, to visit the Oosterweel project site of TM ROCO (Antwerp) on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

For several years, the Oosterweel Connection has been touted as 'the construction site of the century'. Due to its scale and many domains of expertise, it is a unique project, not only in Flanders but even within Europe. It is a true tour de force. Every conceivable technological and construction innovation is being deployed to create a smoother, safer, greener, and healthier Antwerp region.

With several major interventions, the new motorway tunnel is being built under the Scheldt, creating an additional option to cross the Scheldt around Antwerp, alongside the Kennedy and Liefkenshoek tunnels.

The programme is as follows:

13h45       Embarkation on board the Flandria, with departure at 14h00
                 (Asiadok - Zuidkaai, B-2000 Antwerp, park at Cadix Ziekenhuis)
14h00       Welcome - Renaat De Sutter, Chair CEDA-Belgium
14h10       ‘Oosterweel project’ - Alex Vandemeulebroecke, Directeur Operations TM ROCO
16h00       Return to dock
