ZEDHub & CEDA Debarbonisation Committee transition towards zero emission dredging
On Thursday 14 November, Zedhub and the CEDA Decarbonisation Commission organised an exclusive business event with the focus on the transition towards zero emission dredging, with a special emphasis on electrification.
After introductions to CEDA & Zedhub, Arend van der Velde from Bakker Sliedrecht gave a presentation on their Hybrid Hopper Dredger. Jeroen Terlingen from Van de Herik then spoke about Hydrogen-electric inland Dredging. The last presentation was given by Bart Zant from Rijkswaterstaat and Steven Groenewold from Royal IHC talking about the H2 Hopper of the Rijkswaterstaat IKZ programme.
After a break, an interactive discussion and breakout session was organised on a business case for sustainable dredging solutions in the Dutch Wadden Sea.
