First meeting newly formed CEDA Commission on Decarbonisation (CCD)

2022-04-02

On Friday 25 March 2022, the newly formed CEDA Commission on Decarbonisation (CCD) had their first meeting at the DEME offices in Breda.

After the introductions  the commission discussed the Terms of Reference,  started mapping the complexity of the problem,  and focussed in on the plenary session on decarbonisation at the upcoming WODCON XXIII (16-20 May, Copenhagen).

Another important topic was the composition and structure of the CCD. It was agreed that representation from  CEDA members outside Belgium and the Netherlands would be highly valued. Also representatives of ports (and Employers of dredging contracts in general) play an important role in the road towards decarbonisation and are therefore requested to join. Women and young professionals are especially welcome, to diversify the composition of the comission. . If you are interested, please contact Mieke van Loenen (miekevanloenen@dredging.org) or Paul Vercruijsse (Vercruijsse.Paul@deme-group.com).
